Mix the dough
- Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Next, add your softened butter. Slowly mix in your warm water and using wet hands, mix the dough until the ingredients are combined. If the dough seems a little dry, add a few more splashes of warm water.
Knead the dough
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 2-5 mins. Divide the dough into 4 portions if you're making burrito wraps, or 8 if you're making regular sized tortillas.
- Let the dough rest for 10-30 mins covered.
Roll the dough
- Roll each ball of dough into a thin disk.
Cook the tortillas.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add a splash of olive or avocado oil and cook the tortillas about 1 minute each side or until lightly browned.
