Method
- Add the water or milk to a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Add oats, chia seeds, and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and thickened. Stir in the vanilla, maple syrup, a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Remove from heat. Let the mixture cool then add in protein powder if using.
- Add to a bowl and top with all toppings and extra cinnamon!
