Almond Butter Blueberry Oatmeal Bowl with Chia Seeds & Cinnamon

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup GF oats
  • 1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 2 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp celtic salt
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
Toppings
  • 1/4 banana
  • 1/4 cup blueberries/blackberries
  • 1-2 tbs almond or peanut butter
  • 1 tbs honey
  • cinnamon
  • flakey sea salt

Method
 

  1. Add the water or milk to a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add oats, chia seeds, and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and thickened. Stir in the vanilla, maple syrup, a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  3. Remove from heat. Let the mixture cool then add in protein powder if using.
  4. Add to a bowl and top with all toppings and extra cinnamon!
